We are a designated district site for grades 7, 8, and 9 in Strategies, Literacy, and Behaviour Learning Assistance Programs, as well as a site for Continuing French Immersion in grades 7, 8, and 9 and Late French Immerson for grade 7. We also offer Knowledge and Employability curriculum to grade 9 students who require a smaller class with adapted instruction. In addition to these programs, we have advisor classes in the morning made up of grades 7, 8, and 9 students in communal classes.
Ecole Dickinsfield School works in a professional partnership with the North Central Cohort Schools (NCCS) focused on staff professional development to support enhanced student learning opportunities, align teaching practises, and help with successful transitions. The staff at our school are working on building capacity around Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in order to remove barriers for learning, ultimately helping students to become successful and independent learners.
